Michael Gove Facebook live

MP for Surrey Heath and Minister for the Cabinet Office, Michael Gove held a facebook live question and answer session. During the hour-long live broadcast, Michael answered a large number of questions from members of the public who were watching live from his facebook page.

The meeting was moderated by Paul Deach who read out questions on local (Surrey Heath) and national matters as well as questions on the lockdown that comes into force on Thursday (5th November 2020).

Paul read out a question about Michael’s Spitting Image character. “Have you seen your Spitting Image sketches and did you find them funny? Which is your favourite?

Michael responded in good humour. “I have only seen two with me in it. One with me and Priti Patel and one with me in Paris. I do think they are funny. It’s an amazing compliment to be in Spitting Image. My puppet is not the most flattering I have ever seen but that is the whole point about Spitting Image, that it is supposed to poke fun at people in public life like me. But yes, the one of me in Paris with the talking fish, I thought was hilarious.” You can watch Michael answer this question here.

There was a large number of questions about very serious issues that affect peoples lives in Michael’s constituency of Surrey Heath, but the vast majority of the questions answered were of relevance to just about everyone in England.

The Residents Network has made the recording of the Michael Gove Facebook live which is available below.

Don’t forget to tune into a Facebook live Q&A with MP for Esher & Walton and Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab this Friday (6th November 2020) More details here.
