Surrey Remembers 2020

Remembrance Sunday has a very different feel about it due to COVID-19 restrictions with many services either cancelled or done virtually.

But that has not stopped members of the Surrey community conduct their acts of remembrance.

Some communities are coming out in force to stand at their front doors for the 2-minute silence while others are holding services over zoom.

The Residents Network has released this video with the help of Camberley resident and Director of Musical Development for the Sandhurst & District Corps of Drums, based at the Royal Military Acadamy Sandhurst, Josh Thorne.

Josh played the Last Post at Hampton Court Palace earlier this week and this was recorded for a special online service from The Chaple Royal.

The Residents Network would like to thank Josh and the Cadet Band for use of the video for this post.

This video will help anyone at home carry out their act of remembrance. It starts with the Last Post and then the 2-minute silence, the end of which marked by the sounding of Reveille.
